base & center field |
![]() 1st base is the main "R&R" area of the property at this point for barbeque's, visiting friends & family, etc. The big cabin is NOT livable, but is refurbisable. It will need to be jacked up, the ground leveled (the floor inside is bulged up in the middle about 2-2.5 feet high), and a foundation put in. The shed was built at my mother's house in 1997 as the begining of my office. I moved to 633 Rohloff St. 13 March 1998 and had the shed moved here that summer. There are more tidbits when you view photos P1020686 - P1020686 in the walk-around tour. |
I really love this picture. I live here, but this particular view seems like it is of some perfect little home deep in the back woods! The Big Cabin in Right Field is sadly not livable. I use it for storage. The freezing and thawing of the permafrost under the ground from season to season causes heaving. The floor of this building has buckled in the center. Every time I go in there though, I wonder what is was like when someone did live there. |

This is a shed, viewed from the path between Right and Center field. When I was still living at my mother's house, I had this shed build with the intention of finishing in inside and out and actually moving into it. When I moved here, the shed came with me. I wish it were on wheels.... I still might finish it and used it as a guest room. It's 8x8x12, there is plenty of space! OR I'll put a bigger door and a ramp on it, so I'll have someplace for my tractor for the winter..... other than the front porch of the Big Cabin !!!! There is another path that goes around the left side and out to the road. |
