Standing in same position as previous photo, facing the Shack (opposite direction, across the driveway from the main cabin (home plate).

The Shack is a very small Log Cabin.  Is it liveable?  Depends on your definition I suppose.  My nephew lived in this cabin Oct 1999 through Mar 2000 quite comfortably.  There is no electric, but there is heat.  It is also equipped with a propane stove, which I use to heat water for bathing/cleaning, and the oven has been used for baking.

The shack is on a cement foundation and doesn't show any signs of frost heave structurally. The tarp covering the roof of the shack is needed to cover the true sod roof.  The roof is still sound but does leak during break-up and will need to be replaced within the next couple years.

While sick during fall 2000 I stayed in the Shack (closer to the port-a-potty) for about a month and found it very livable.  I've even considered making it my bedroom.
