A few computer made sketches show what the cabin looks like and the layout.

Dec 1999 on a whim, and because I was sick of piles, I built the shelves.  You see very few cupboards. I needed shelves. It really was an improvement! (yes, the water barrels used to be in the main cabin.  now they're in the shack)

Jan 00 a little cluttered... but manageable.... before I started school and before I started the business

The main living area is about 11x14. You are looking at the best shots I could get taken from the beam that crosses my stairs. That's it!! Wall to wall office! And this photo was taken Jan 2000! I look at this photo now, then look around, and cannot believe the clutter in there right now! I actually just (just now) took some more pictures for you. You will agree - it's definitely time for spring cleaning, no??

Mid Dec 2000 HERE THEY ARE!!! This is it.... the living area.... there are no other 'rooms'!!! Once XentriX DezinZ started officially and once I started school... all hell broke loose....

Jan 2001 - - clutter seems to be a big problem (duh!) (note: May 2002: it's even MORE crowded now.... with every semester at college, it closes in a little more!!)

Note
.... I broke my main refrigerator while defrosting it with a hammer and a chisel (yes... i know better... but I thought if i was just really careful....)... and the counter and shelves have to come out to move it.... a summer project... thus the little brown fridge setting in front of the open door of the white one.... which has been designated as a pantry for now!

The loft is above the kitchen. The floor space is the size of a queensize bed with only a few inches on each side, and a 6' ceiling. I have always wanted a built in bed. When I moved in here.... there IS a place built in for the bed.... however, I think it's for a single. I had my Sealy Posture Pedic pillow top box and mattress on the floor at first, but not only did it take up the WHOLE floor, but it was higher than the little railing, and I was afraid I would roll off the bed and fall down the stairs.

I couldn't get far enough away from the bed to get a picture of the actual set up, but I did manage to get it into that built in space. It's 3.75 feet off the floor, and hangs over the edge 2 feet. The clearance from the top of the bed to the ceiling is 2.25 feet.. I LOVE IT!!!! It's like sleeping in a cave or a cubbyhole! Marc - This pic is for you (he's my friend who works at Sealy!!)
