Go back The Pitchers' Compound
After having one of the chain link companies give me quote on a TINY part of my yard and an tiny piece of the porch at a whopping $1800 <choke, gasp, hack> I knew I had to do something else. And I might as well do it today.... I have the lumber, and it's actually NOT raining today (summer 2000).

Emit knew where he belonged, and he took his place as soon as I moved his sleeping bag!!! For a dog so versatile and one who accepts change so easily..... you would think he could stay home and behave for a few hours while I am elsewhere..... but NNnnnooooOOOOooooo

Tar paper

A doubled tarp over
the tar paper.

Emit just must have a house... there's one in the cabin main, one up in the loft by my bed, and now he has a new one outside.
Princess however will not use a doghouse. So she has her own side, mostly open, yet deep enough to fill with straw in the winter to provide the needed shelter, as well as a piece totally open..... trying to please Miss Priss is actually what made this project so large.

The lights inside the "porch" of the doghouse are for ME not for them!!!! I had a visual of me in there in the pitch black darkness of winter trying to change out straw, or looking for something, or trying to fix something..... I need lights!!

10 AM to 1030PM ............and............I managed to break every single nail of scratching length......
MY dogs....... SPOILED? <gasp> Bite your tongue!!
