Missing & Miscelaneous
Tammatha & David (circa '97-'99)

(from the old website...written 1997-1999)  For months I have pondered this page... what do you write about your friends that is totally sincere, heartfelt, & meaningful - - without them thinking you want something...and to get their approval for what you've written about them.

Well, a while back I was talking to Roman (he's got his own page!) about what it takes to MAKE a solid friend, a real one that will stand the test of time....  and trying to emphasize the importance OF time in a friendship.  After I mailed the letter to Roman, I thought I should probably let Tammatha know what I say behind her back, so I copied the letter and sent it to her too.  Since then... I've been trying to figure out how to turn that information into a page for Tammatha.  Well... I can't!  So... the letter itself goes live. ***I feel a nostolgic moment about my friend coming on,  and felt like sharing it with you***

I have known Tammatha for almost 6 years now.  (we met 20 APR 93)  A date I doubt I'll ever forget.  We met accidentally, the day I found out I was pregnant for Cody, I was pretty psychotic and three quarters suicidal.  Great conditions for making a new friend!  We met because [deleted name]...  (who soon thereafter became somewhat an enemy of both Tammatha and I) stopped by my house there in Anchorage unannounced and uninvited, to use my facilities and my phone.  Under normal circumstances this would have been just fine, but in the state I was in.... and she didn't give me a second glance or an ounce of  Friendship.... Tammatha did.  We have built quite a story together since then... how we actually became friends, and where we've been together since then.....  well, it's touching and  a little funny to say the least!

We really don't see each other very much at all.  If we're lucky we can hook up on the phone once a month, but sometimes we'll go 2 - 3 months without a word.  When we do talk or get a chance to visit, we just seem to pick up right where we left off.!  I have never felt jealous of one of her other friends ~ well, maybe a little :o).
