why this site?

Answer: all of the lines are straightWhat the hell.... why not?! I keep the records for myself and gotta have a place to store 'em and reference 'em...

Self discovery is a life long process for every person who chooses to do more than merely exist. Re-discovery can be long and arduous, painful and rewarding. IMHO - it is your duty to know yourself - before anyone else can.  In essence, this is a record / a report of my findings.  Here to serve me and cater only to my needs.  Putting it out for the world to view keeps me honest to my content, holding myself accountable.  And may give someone else what they need to embark on their own journey.

Q: Where it will end?
A:
Only time will tell.
Q:
Where it will go?
A:
Only tomorrow knows.
Q:
Interesting to others?
A:
I don't care.
Q: How long it will last?
A:
Till I'm done.

O-yeah!  I ask myself, "Why am I doing this?" "Is this serving a purpose?" "What's the payoff?"

Why I do whatever I do with whichever site I'm working on (there are several) depends on what I am needing that day. That's one reason I have several sites.... needs change and not all of them require major servicing, some simply require attention for an hour, or an afternoon.  Possibly why my sites take me SOOOooo long for me to complete; or are never complete.... because that need may demand all my attention, my obsession if you will, for a week, or a weekend, then it may not require attention for several months.

Purpose? An outlet for some creativity?  Needing a feeling of completing something.  Sheer boredom.  It all depends..... for the most part.... having somethign to distract me physically (keep my hands busy) while I think things through (other, real life things). I think, plan, rethink, and replan.... I also use my own sites to practice and develope my design abilities and where I try new things.  If you don't use it, you lose it.

Payoff?  Fulfilling my own needs, as necessary, for the time being.... and having a nice little record to look back on and measure my own growth against.

Use your head.  Think for yourself.  Read between the lines.  Take it for face value. Respect the messages.

Or not.
design disclaimer

This is not the business site - the rules are out the window except for those that the owner (that's me) feels compelled to follow.  Freedom.  Character. Personality.  Mood.  Realism.  Opinion.

Expect strong opinions, bold mood swings (intentional & unintentional), raw outspokenness, blunt honesty, repetitive banter, and a sarcastic sense of humor.  Don't expect to agree me!

In this site I stretch my wings in whatever direction I feel the need at that time.  Some contents are old, dated - included because obviously it's still important - to me.

the Business end A business site should be professional, clean, & crisp.  Accessible by all.  Fast loading for all.  Able to fit into all browsers and all resolutions. Conforming to all W3C web standards for HTML 4.0.  Written according to the "writing for the web" rules and guidelines. Wording should show careful thought and planning.  Care should be taken to appeal to all audiences. Descriptions should be concise & to the point.  Navigation shouldn't require much thought and should be absolutely consistent throughout the site. For business - see XXDZ.com.
